Who Am I and What can I do for you?

My name is Danielle. I am the founder of Radiant Roots Naturopathy. First, I am a mother, a wife and a grandma or (Oma). Together my husband and I have 5 grown children, and 5 grandchildren. I currently work in the medical field doing hospital billing while running my business part-time helping others find their path to health.

My health problems started roughly 15 years ago. Thinking back I was a single mom at the time with 3 children to raise. I worked a full-time job and waited tables on the side. Busy and trying to get by. Running from ball game to ball game, this practice and that practice, doing my time in the concession stand. I was like every other parent. Tired!

I noticed as life got busier our meal options got worse. From Pizza, to concession foods, frozen TV dinners, box dinners and high sugar cereals. I feel like my health quickly deteriorated. I was getting sicker and even more tired.

Health and nutrition hasn't always been easy. I have spent many years dealing with health issues. Countless hours in a doctor's office, scheduling tests and procedures only to be told they didn't know what was wrong. Being handed a prescription and a referral to a pain management clinic.

Living on a bland diet for many years which consisted of bland carbohydrates with no relief. This contributed to waking up on my birthday with a bad case of vertigo. Going by ambulance to the emergency room department. Following up with my primary doctor to find out I was pre-diabetic and she wanted to start me on meds immediately.

I wasn't ready to hand my health over to the healthcare system. I wasn't ready to live on prescriptions. I wasn't ready to give myself insulin shots. I wasn't ready to be dependent on the pharma companies.

It took many years with different diets only for nothing to work. After 10 years of dealing with gut pain and discomfort I finally found some answers. It was the food which contained additives, preservatives, anti-caking agents, and genetically modified ingredients. I had to change my life style.

Over the last 5 years, podcast after podcast, herbal courses, research on every herb that could possible help. I ended up cutting out all processed foods including potatoes and grapes as they are heavily sprayed with a preservative and pesticides. I now feel like I have control of my gut health.

My health issues directed me to find a natural path!
